On 7 July 2025, Umezaki Michiko, Chief Advisor of the AJFVC, provided an update during the Expert Working Group (EWG) meeting focused on ASEAN Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP). The meeting was chaired by the representative of Brunei Darussalam and was held via Zoom.

Umezaki Michiko introduced the progress of Output 3, among which the plan for training on GAqP for auditors and extension workers was highlighted. The training is expected to contribute to improved food safety in the fishery sector through the promotion of GAqP among ASEAN Member States. The meeting welcomed the initiative taken by AJFVC, and its participants provided a few inputs for the smooth implementation of the activities.
